Our 4's and 5's Program
A Family Affair has a full preschool program as part of our day care. This program is designed to prepare each child for Kindergarten the following Fall. Pre-reading, Math and Writing skills are emphasized as well as the social and emotional skills necessary to succeed in Kindergarten. Our classroom teacher also does weekly science and art activities.
We also include a comprehensive arts program! The children have daily visual arts activities and music activities (songs and dance) with their regular classroom teacher. Once a week, we have a music teacher come and lead a lesson that includes a cultural component as well as rhythmic and lyrical skills.
Our program also includes Physical Education. We have an experienced teacher come and do an age appropriate physical education program once each week. They work on things such as agility and coordination.
